Giant Mushrooms
Ornamental Mushrooms |
I
first began wood turning at the age of 5, when I used to demonstrate how
to turn rolling pins and chair legs on a pole lathe.
I now use my experience to turn a variety of objects from thin walled sycamore bowls and goblets to excentric grass pots and giant mushrooms.
Wood turning has been a long standing tradition within the area of High Wycombe, famed for its services in bodging and chair production.
Most lace designs require the use of dozens of bobbins at any one time, all suspended by their threads and woven in and out as the pattern dictates. Most bone bobbins used to carry inscriptions, however, nowadays the bobbins are wooden and have various patterns to decorate them. |
